Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section of the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board. This section provides answers to common questions relating to bursary applications, scholarship programmes, eligibility requirements, verification exercises, and student support services.

The Bursary Award Programme is a financial assistance initiative of the Delta State Government designed to support eligible students of Delta State origin studying in approved tertiary institutions.
Applicants must:

• Be of Delta State origin
• Possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN)
• Be registered full-time students
• Attend approved tertiary institutions
• Meet the required academic qualification criteria
No. PGD, Masters, and PhD students are not eligible for the bursary programme.
Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 2.20 or its equivalent.
Universities

• 200 Level and above
Polytechnics/Monotechnics

• ND II and HND II students
Colleges of Education

• NCE II and NCE III students
Applicants should:

1. Visit the official portal
2. Click “Apply Now”
3. Complete the registration form
4. Upload required documents
5. Submit the application
6. Print acknowledgement slip
Yes. Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₦800 only.
Applicants may be required to provide:

• School ID Card
• Admission Letter
• Local Government Identification Letter
• NIN Slip
• Passport Photograph
• Course Registration Evidence
• Academic Records where applicable
Yes. A physical verification exercise will be conducted after the registration period.
Applicants who submit false documents or incorrect information may be disqualified from the programme.
Successful applicants may receive notifications through:

• The official portal
• SMS notifications
• Email communications
• Official Board announcements
Yes. Students in approved government and private tertiary institutions may apply.
The registration period lasts for four (4) weeks.
