The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board is a government agency established by the Delta State Government to provide financial assistance and educational support to students of Delta State origin studying in approved tertiary institutions across Nigeria and beyond.
The Board serves as one of the State Government’s key educational intervention agencies, helping to reduce the financial burden on students and encouraging academic excellence among youths in Delta State.
Mandate of the Board
The primary responsibilities of the Board include:
- Administration of bursaries and scholarships
- Processing and verification of student applications
- Management of Students Special Assistance Schemes (SSAS)
- Promotion of educational development in Delta State
- Support for indigent and qualified students
- Coordination of student data and academic records for government interventions
